“It is very hard to do justice to Aideen and all she has done for us. We had spent so long trying to work within a system that was offering generic courses and exercises, often without ever having met Connie. This led to many frustrating and emotional moments where we felt we were going nowhere, and that the task of helping Connie live her best life was beyond us, and maybe even unachievable. Aideen’s ability to bring her skills to bear in a way that directly affects Connie was exactly what was needed. Through school and home visits she got a rounded picture of Connie, her needs, and her strengths. Aideen was then able to communicate these findings in a way that made it easier for us to understand what we needed to do and allowed us to prioritise our actions. And this is also true for Connie’s school, where Aideen’s observations were so thorough and on point."

Aideen took the time during these visits, and subsequent visits, to provide guidance and input to both ourselves and his early intervention caregivers on how to apply changes to his daily routine to ensure he is getting the correct sensory input and allow him to learn and try new things, which will hopefully aid in his future progress. Aideen’s caring manner and professional approach are also exemplified through her meeting and advocating on our son's behalf with his early intervention caregivers and Speech and Language therapist to solidify an approach over the next number of months to ensure everyone is on the same page and helping him on a consistent basis.
